What is Semipermanent Makeup?

Semipermanent Makeup aka SPMU uses high quality pigments that are designed to fade over time so that you don’t get tattoo-like features stuck on your face. Instead, it’s meant to gently fade so that you have a natural finish. SPMU is maintained by touch ups and refresh appointments every 6-18 months.
Why Should I Tattoo my Eyebrows?
Nano Brows (machine hairstrokes) is a form of SPMU that focuses on the eyebrows. We use different tools to help you achieve fuller, natural looking eyebrows that help you look more youthful and awake. Many of our clients struggle with sparse eyebrow hairs or unevenness, thus using semipermanent artistry can help our clients achieve the look of beautiful brows without worrying about getting up each morning to fuss about their brows.
How it Works
Custom Shape & Color
At the start of your appointment, a licensed brow tattoo artist will map your eyebrows. Mapping is a collaborative process where we assess your existing brows, ask you about your goals, and shape them according to your most flattering points.
2. Light Tattooing
Next, your artist will tattoo soft layers of pigment onto the eyebrows so that they are natural and easy to wear. Numbing cream will be applied prior to the treatment to ensure maximum comfort!
3. Easy Healing
Finally, your artist will send you home with an aftercare kit that has been curated to promote skin healing. The aftercare process takes 10 days and our clients usually experience minimal to no flaking. Once healed, Semi Permanent Eyebrows may last up to 1-2 years.

“Babyface Brows changed my life. I used to be so self conscious about my eyebrows and my artist walked me through every step of the way to achieve my perfect brows. She took her time mapping and reiterated that at the end of all this, I will be the one looking at them every day so she will do everything to make them exactly how I want them. The aftercare instructions are simple and easy to follow, and she was extremely easy to reach whenever I had questions. The microblading itself is a tad uncomfortable but the numbing cream definitely helps. Results usually last for about a year, depending on the type of skin and lifestyle of the individual.

The level of pain is similar to plucking of your eyebrows (for Microblading) or a tattoo (for Powder Brow). However, before the procedure begins, your brows are treated with an anesthetic cream to reduce any discomfort.

Healing period is about 2 weeks. As long as aftercare instructions are thoroughly followed, there shouldn’t be an issue going to work or being out in public.

The average time for a procedure can take up to 3 hours. Before application, the client will undergo a consultation which includes going over colors, desired shape, arch, and thickness of the brows which have to first be outlined and drawn in before the actual procedure can begin. Once the design has been drawn on, you must approve. It’s a delicate process that requires precision and attention to detail.
Tip: You’re more than welcome to bring in a picture of the desired shape and we can use that to perfect the design to complement your unique face shape and size. It is mostly recommended to bring in a selfie, rather than a picture of a celebrity.

No sweating, heavy workouts or steamy activities (hot yoga, saunas, hot pot, etc.) for two weeks.

Not directly on the brows for two weeks. We recommend that you avoid foundation and concealer around brows and forehead as well, this is because the pigments are still settling into the skin.

Avoid getting the area wet, You can wash your face with water only under part of eyes. For forehead, you can use wipes.
For shower, we recommend to use a hand held shower head; for hair, we recommend to go to a hair salon or use dry shampoo.

Yes, it is highly recommended. The touch up is recommended 4-12 weeks after initial treatment. During your touch up, the artist will fill in missing hairs, add or make hairs longer or just achieve a darker color.
